Can you hear me humming? I am. I've been humming since I got up this morning and do you want to know why I have this happy little hiccup in my giddy up? Of course you do; because the awesome readers of this blog are the curious smarty pants type. Yes you are.
Well, as promised, we are having another beautiful day here in the great state of Iowa. I am still running my trigger hand at full throttle and lovin' every minute of it. Mr. Rendition may have other thoughts on the topic though. You see, when I go to the garage to paint I am reminded of all the work waiting to be done out there. Work involving the garage itself. When that happens he gets 'reminded' of all this said work. While I happily sprayed away he may have been grumbling in the corner as he sorted through my insane stack of wood. I kid, he did okay...just slight grumbling.
Since I'm keeping my little self busy outdoors today I will share some projects that are going to be showing up here in the next couple of weeks. My studio looks a lot like a used furniture showroom right now and I may or may not have an armoire being painted in the dining room. Regardless of where they are being done, there are a lot of interesting things going on here.
One of the projects I'm most excited about is this little rolling cart.
I was given this cart by a sweet friend of mine. Her husband had access to two of them and the generous person she is, she thought of me when deciding what to do with the extra one. Yes, I'm a lucky girl. She may or may not have painted hers red ;)
If you're a creative person with projects going on then you know how important it is to be able to move things when needed. I don't just create in my studio; I also do it in front of the tv and in the dining room. Sometimes it depends on where the light is better or if Revenge happens to be on and sometimes it just depends on where I can find room. Either way, being able to take my project materials with me easily is a must. Up until this point, I just carried everything & set up my card table. That is now a thing of the past.
My first thought was to spray paint it but I had a conversation with Mr. Rendition that went something like this:
Me: I think I'm going to go with black since I can get kind of messy & that will hide a lot.
Him: Really? That surprises me.
Me:Why? Black is part of my color scheme & if I painted it pink I'd just be afraid to work on it for fear of ruining the pretty paint job.
Him: I just thought you'd do something more 'your style.' I think black is too plain for you.
Realizing you don't know him I will tell you, that was a big deal for him. He usually keeps his opinions to himself or agrees that whatever I say I'm going to do for a project will be "just fine." I was quite excited to get a bit of voluntary feedback from him and it immediately inspired me. He was right anyway, but don't tell him I said that. It wasn't like I was going to sell it or anything. It was for my personal use & my personal style is just a bit more than plain black.
I know exactly what I'm going to do with it & should have it ready to show you by next week.
I will also have this little number finished up as well.
This sweet baby will be making her grand debut as well.
And this beauty.
All in all it will be a busy couple of weeks so make sure to check back in to see the finished make overs.
I'm headed back outside before my trigger finger thinks it's quittin' time.
Until next time!
