Neck Deep in a Pile of Projects

Oh....my....goodness...it's HOT. Sizzling to be exact.
Moving is hard, breathing is even harder & painting; well if you're not doing it in air conditioning you might as well forget it.
Here in the heart of the Midwest we are in the thick of it right now.
We're used to humidity, it's just the Iowa way, but this is even excessive for us.
It's going to top out at over 100 today & the air conditioners are humming away.
Since I have to focus on indoor stuff for now, I thought I'd catch you up on what's been going on & what's coming.

I have been hoppin' this week with my hands in a few different things everything.
We're just getting to know each other, but I will tell you I usually always have several projects going at once. It started innocently enough, with me just wanting to make the most of my downtime during a project.
While paint dried or glue set up, I would grab the next project on the list & get to work.
Like so many other things where creativity & myself  are paired up......it snowballed.

Next thing you know, I had 3 projects going at once.......then 4.....then, well you get the idea.
Today it is completely normal for me to have my hands in upwards of 5-6 makeovers at a time.
This week  has been no different.
I've got 4 big furniture makeovers going on, all in different phases of completion.
There's a little of this one.
This one certainly isn't for the faint of heart. The amount of stripping on this gem has been insane! So insane, I actually dismantled it completely to get to all the nooks & crannies!
Commitment people. Go big or go home, am I right?!
There's also a little bit of this going on too.

This has been a fun one for my son, but I'm at the stage where I'm wondering if it needs "something else."
I'm letting this one simmer in my brain while I polish the hardware.
I also have a sweet girlfriend I've been meaning to get together with for awhile now. We can just never seem to get our schedules together.
As a matter of fact, I still have her birthday gift......from February!
Still sitting on the buffet in my kitchen.
See?!
So if you're reading this Amber; I'm sorry, I love you & I WILL see you soon!
And congrats on breaking ground on the new garage!!
Then I've also been doing some of this.
And some of this......
and this.....
And even some of this....

This one made me cry a little the other night.
But, after reading Elizabeth's post over at The little black door, I feel more rejuvenated & motivated.
Well ok, I at least feel like I'm among other women who have been-there-done-that and survived!
She happened to do more than survive, she nailed it! Go check it out & see for yourself.

Whew! I think that covers all the projects that are currently on my workbench!
I'm also working on a post for how I did this little beauty for a little cutie.
This one was a super fun refurb!!
Okay peeps; I just wanted to jump in & let you know what was going on & what was coming up shortly.
I'm off to finish a couple of these up so I can get them posted.

Stay cool out there & remember to drink LOTS of water!
Severe heat like this is can make you sick in short order so keep an eye on how long you're outdoors & how you're feeling.
And please, please, please, please if you have pets, keep an eye on them too!!
Our little furbabies are counting on us to make sure they have plenty to drink & stay cool.
So grab some ice tea, get in some air conditioning, & put your feet up!
I'll be back shortly with an awesome post on "Little Blue."
Until next time!
